Theme of the Month:
Texts in Translation; any genre counts, but it must of been originally published in another language and gone through a translation process into your native language. There may be some language barriers and dialect challenges in places, but this month, if you take up the challange, your horizons will be broadened and the tastebuds that control the culture in your tongue will be satisfyingly fulfilled. You may even find yourself looking to pick up another language to challenge yourself further!

We're still taking suggestions on books to be added to *
The-United-Font's
Recommended Reading list; why don't you have a gander, and if you feel any books are missing you can note the club with the title
RRlist with a few selections you've enjoyed over the years. Who knows, even I may pick up one or two

We're still accepting submissions of any form, but due to a busy schedule with staff here, *
The-United-Font will be running the current theme until the end of November, where we will introduce another for the Christmas Holidays. Rest assured though, fine readers, we will be back and fresher as ever in no time

Our Statement.
We’ve seen a lot of clubs on Deviant Art; clubs on photograph, on digital manipulation and even one for organizing DevMeets. There are also clubs on writing, for poetry and prose. These clubs aim to bring the writers of dA from shadowy corners and expose them to the light of eternal critique and to establish them with an audience.
What I have not seen is the classic in literary clubs… the Book Club. Book clubs meet and discuss various established artist as well as the occasional unknown scribbler. Therefore, it is *
The-United-Font’s goal to bring a book club to dA, so people can discuss writing genres and techniques, write various pieces exploring themes and ideas hidden deep within their mysterious words and offer up a ground at which deviants and deviously discuss (in detail) books of which they hold a particular opinion about.
We do not aim to write, critique and grow; we wish to
read, discuss and learn. Therefore, it is our pleasure to welcome you, the esteemed reader, to the new book club on Deviant Art.
We welcome you to *

it's always frustrating trying to get members, but don't worry, there's a "snowball" effect that happens after a few months of members building up, so it's just the getting started part that's hard

I'd love to join
To be honest, we need some massive exposure right about now... been a few days since we updated the journal and no one seems interested. How did you overcome this problem when you were giving birth to the Novelist Club?

If you have to think about whether you love someone or not, then the answer is no.
When you love someone... you just know.
